Indian Govt wake up

There has been one more death of farmer in Vidharba region of Maharashtra state.Just few days back I read an article on how India is progressing at a fast pace with good growth in GDP in previous quater. The article also included the upgraded lifestyle of Indians and how Shopping Malls are full with consumers willing to spend more.then we have the periodic reports of plight of farmers in rural areas who have to bear the brunt of liberalised agricultural markets and negligence of Government towards agricultural sector.
When Sharad Pawar became Agricultural Minister I thought that he will take good care of farmers of Vidharba region coz he too belongs to Maharashtra. But he too was no different from his predecessors.
More than 70% of India directly or indirectly depends on agriculture sector but it never got importance which it deserved.Industrialisation, liberalisation is fine but it should kept in check if it affects the interests of our farmers.

Don for elections!!!

This person Abu Salem is a terrorist who has spent most of life plotting bomb blast and other terrorist activities in India. Now he plans to fight election in Mubarakpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh.I am shocked how can a notorious person like him can even think of doing this.He is currently in jail and is facing trial for 1993 bomb blasts in which he played a major role.
I wonder whether India is mature for democratic form of government.Democracy is for people who know the value of vote and its power.Day by day people with criminal background are jumping into election fray and no wonder they are successful in too.
Its no secret that few people in India specially the minorities are more loyal to Pakistan than to India.Any person who is said to have worked for terrorists suddenly gets lots of support from these people.Abu Salem and Afzal Guru episode has proved this.In my opinion India doesnt deserve Democractic form of Government.

Bushism...

Some one mailed me these pics which are really very funny.

The first photo was taken when the Chinese President went to US.

This second photo was taken when Bush went to China.:)

Ramble

Last week I came back from Delhi. I had been there with MD of my company to negotiate new pricing structure of our software with our client which will suit them.I was fired by my current company in month of September itself but people in my current company insisted that I should stay for a month or more so that before I leave things will be in better condition. Before trip I prepared a lenghty report stating the current scenario of our relations with our three clients and reasons for their non usage of our software.
In the report I had put that net useablitiy of executives in our client's companies is very low.One of our developer was shocked to know that a company employee of Regional Manager level didnt know how to use excel sheet!!!
Actually what happens in India is people working in non IT sector are usually not tech savvy. They have a special PA or office boy who checks their mail, takes its print out and gives it to the concerned person.Once we had a training session in Delhi which was attended by sales Executives and Managers of my client company. In any CRM and ERP software the prerogrative is that a person using software should input data regarding their customers regularly so that our Business Intelligence software can calculate the profitability of their various products and track the consumer trends. But after installation of software we came to know that Sales Executives just dont enter any data into it rendering the system useless. So in the training session I spent more than hour teaching them how to use Internet Explorer!!!
If I say this to my colleagues in Australia they will laugh out at this thinking it to be a joke. But its fact that IT knowledge in Indian Corporate sector is too low.

Its been many days since I had been to Marve Beach.Inorder to be in shape I used to walk from my place in Jankalyan nagar to Marve beach every evening.A month back I joined NIIT to study .Net framework and my long-walk excersice has been interrupted for unknown period. If I master this .Net framework then I will be made to work on our new platform prepared by my current company which works on Neural Networks. Now, this technology is very new and I dont want to misss chance to work on this. Now I will tell you how many things I am into
1)My job with current company
2)Part time job teaching GRE and GMAT students
3)Preparing for CAT exam
4)Reading numerous books which I keep on purchasing

Its said that in order to progress and be successfull one has to do one thing at a time.....No further comments....

So 2 days back there was Diwali DJ party at NIIT.For the people who dont know what is NIIT....NIIT is an institute which teaches people how to start computer, shut it down and what to do in period between these two events.NIIT stands for...I dunno.once our faculty asked this question in our class, what NIIT stands for?
Then one of the brilliant students of our class enlightened with his esteemed god-blessed knowledge that it stands for 'Never Invest In This'.Actually it stands for National Institute for Information Technology. After whole day of Diwali Shopping I decided to go to this party. My bro was with me.I gave all my purchased stuff to him and headed towards link road where the party was held. Now the hall where the party took place has a very wierd name."Subkucch" which means 'everything' in hindi. Now when I was in delhi there was a big shop of Samosas and Sweets at Badarpur near Faridabad which was named "Badnaam Samose aur Pakode".North India has some very weird shop names. Like in Ludhiana a famous restaraunt had this thing written on his board "Meerutwale Bansilal Da Mashoor Dhaba".Now why this person wants people to know that he is from Meerut? One more thing few of you must have noticed that 100% shops in Agra selling Pethas(Petha is a sweetmeat famous in north)are named 'Panchi Petha'......ya 100%.
So back to NIIT.I reached this god forsaken place by bus.Link Road is the place where I have been there after 3 or 4 years.I never got opportunity to travel at this part of Malad. And this place has changed drastically. Malls, Complexes and Call centres have sprung up in this area.
As I entered hall where DJ party was going on I felt as if I have just entered Havan Kund.It was too hot in there(Dont ask me what made the atmosphere HOT there).Usually when I go for such parties the first thing which I do is head for dance floor and scare everyone out of there. But that day I retained my decency….which was too tough to be honest…and stood in the corner watching the people dancing.

This guy in blue is Bunny(No...he has nothing to do with Playboy mascot). It was his Kukhyaat,Shaatir,Shaitani dimag that come up with this DJ party Idea.
See this guy in centre.Someone took away this Shirt....bechara.:(
But see him....he is enjoying dancing around with whatever he is left with.

Look at the guy far right with motiyon jaise daanth. He must have received his GNIIT certificate that day.

Yeh hain NIIT ke Hoshiyar, samajhdaar,Hardworking students who after few days will become world famous Software Developers,Managers,Directors blah blah and the guy in white T Shirt and specs is going to hire them...muahahahahaha

Now what does that guy in right wants to denote by making that wierd hand expression....I dont know. Was he trying to make 'V'sign for victory?
That second guy standing at back(from left).....what does he wants to express with his posture?
Ufff no one can understand these IT people.

"Ueee maaa.....yeh tum log kaisa dance kar rahe ho....yeh dance hai ya KungFu-Karate?....jo bhi hai main toh bahut enjoy kar rahi hoon...hehehe"

This is my faculty tutor with her kiddo....a lady with awesome sense of humor.

This guy is in immediate need of medical help."Jaldi ambulance bulao"
Shucks he looks as if he has ran Mumbai Marathon twice."Beta thoda aaram karlo...garam thanda peeyo."
"khi khi khi....dekh mera dance dekh"

These are the faculty and staff of NIIT watching the people dance.See their terrified facial expressions....dance floor is the last place where they want to be.

This sadu DJ....I guess he got his university results that day.....played worst collection of songs.

Hamara Security....ekdum dangerous aadmi....Gyara mulkon ki police iski peeche padi hai.

I fail to understand why would one like to wear cap late at night....that too when its so hot.

When Abhi met Rimpa

Everyone in my family is busy these days. Last week my sis got job and she has decided to shift in a new city for work. I and my brother spent most of the time out of home due to work or some other reason. At that time my sister was the only companion of my mother. Now when she is not there my mother is feeling too lonely at home. She has no one to discuss the plots of Ekta Kapoor soaps, rumours going around society and give opinion about the saris which my mom purchases every month. Last Sunday my sister shifted to Pune. My mom was missing her too much so on Tuesday she packed her bags went to Pune to meet my Sis with Dad.

When no one is there at home you don’t feel like coming home after work.Last Saturday I met Rimpa. We were meeting for the first time. I met this mahan aatma after lots of efforts. It took 5 to 6 cancelled meetings (which earned me sobriquet of ‘Ditcher’) and months of planning to bring us together on one table. If I wouldn’t have met this lady then u people must have seen me lying in corner of Leelavati hospital and Rimpa in Thane jail. After constant threats from her I finally met her.

Rimpa is younger sister of S of my engineering college. In our engineering college friends circle everyone knows her and also she is best friend of most of them except me. I had heard lot bout her but never got opportunity to talk or to meet her. Last month one of our common friends introduced both of us.

As the story goes ahead….
It was decided that we will meet at Matunga station.
In Mumbai if people decide to meet then 90% probability is there that they will decide to meet at a local railway station. And if they decide to meet at local station then 99.99% probability is there that they will meet under railway indicator.

At the decided time I reached Matunga and sat on a concrete bench waiting for her. 11.30 was decided time and slowly clock ticked to 11.45 but there was no trace of this lady. I called her to know the reason for her esteemed late arrival. She told that she has reached Matunga station and is waiting for me there. Bewildered I got up and tried to spot her on the station. We had not seen each other in person. At that moment I realised there are two railway stations named Matunga. One is of Central railway and other of Western. We both were waiting on two different Matunga stations. I called her again and told her that I will come to Matunga Central station which was 15 mins away from Matunga Western Station.

This great lady was waiting for me on railway bridge with her two friends.

She was thinner than my expectations and came to know why everyone calls her ‘dandi’(It means Stick in hindi). Then she had her bye-bye-session with her friends. I wonder why girls yell when they say good bye to their friends. There was something more. She embraced her two friends, who were comparatively well built than her. As her friends took her in their arms I prayed for rimpa’s bones. Thankgod they were safe.

Rimpa is such a chweeet girl. She looks like a school going girl rather than University student. And her typical giggle on my Pjs were….uffff.
She took me to an Udipi hotel for which Matunga is famous. I had strongest coffee of my life there. We chatted, discussed, debated on all the nonsense useless issues in the world. After coffee we both ordered masala dosa. I was amazed at her Body to food consuming ratio. She eats stuff almost equal to her weight!!!. Ufff….kitna khaati hai yeh. Then we took stroll in the area around Wellinker college and Hindu colony. If anyone wants to navigate the area around Matunga then catch this girl. She knows each and every building in Matunga along with its ancient History and geography. Uffff….kya kya maloom hai usko. After hanging around for an hour or so we stopped at a book shop and surfed through the books. Then she took me to a Birdy’s , a cake shop. After eating Masala Dosa and having coffee I didn’t feel like eating anything but she insisted me to have a cake. Rimpa hungrily devoured entire cake in seconds leaving me stunned with amazement.
There is one thing that I liked about her too much. She is different from other girls….after eating in restaurant she insists on paying bills herself and is first to remove her purse. (this is one important reason to hang around with rimpa). She is not like other girls who go on raising restaurant bills and think that its moral responsibility of boys to pay them.

More than 5 Kms of walk and heavy over eating.....Atlast Abhi met Rimpa.

Buzeeee as a Bee

Things are too tough for me these days. Its difficult to manage many things at one time. Since last month I have been busy arranging and attending meetings with MD of my company. Since I will be leaving this company soon, he wants to know each and every detail about my [mis]doings in India before I am relieved. After whole day of work I attend classes for .Net at NIIT which I joined recently. After the classes I come home and prepare for CAT. A couple of weeks back I got a message in my Gmail mailbox through blogger.com .The message was of Ashley who dropped comment “Kahan Abhishek Hai?” which reminded me of my Nomadic Thoughts. I promised myself that I will post soon; but again got busy with regular work and studies.

There is one more thing that kept me busy during this period. It’s the novel ‘The Afghan’. This thrilling novel by Frederick Forsyth is really good. I completed the entire novel within 3 days. After I finished this novel I brought next book ‘Freakonomics’ which I am about to complete. This book by Steven lewitt and Stephen Dubner is again a good book. I am about to finish this and next book which is on my list is ‘Sacred games’ by Vikram Chandra.
OMG so much to read. And I am reading all these books at a time when I should spend time studying for CAT exam which is nearing.
