Confused

I have come to a conclusion atlast that I am the most confused person alive on earth.
Whatever I do....I dont understand why I did....I did because I liked or it attracted me....
At night I talked to my old friend, even his name is Abhishek, he told me that I am enjoying life with a very good job, nice pay and a cool place to stay. Now that is not true...grass is greener on opposite side that is the reason why my life seemed very pleasant to him.......coming back to the topic......

After talking to Abhishek, I looked at my past... and thought about the risks I have taken and the way of life I have chosen....

after pondering for sometime I realised that I had been a confused person all my life...
In school days...I loved literature.I liked to read literature classics of Ruskin bond, Rabindranath Tagore etc and had decided that I will study arts in my college...but I got very good percentage in my exams and had to take Science as my major. This was the punishment for bringing good percentage. I never argued my fathers decision that I should opt for Science and become an engineer like him....my father is really very great....whenevr I had to take decision....he gave me one...

My love for literature perished in the burner of chemistry practicals and was not able to revive from the shock which the electric wheatstones bridge gave him.....I was in the realm of Science now....I never enjoyed studying science.....During this period i fell in love with chemistry. I liked the classical physics also....but after my 12th grade exams, in which I scored very good marks again, I was sent to engineering college to study mechanical engineering.(again as a punishment)

Now I dont have a special love for mechanical Engineering...why I choosed that branch...even I dont know....happily I stated studying for my engineering studies....but it took just 1 year to realise that I dont enjoy studying machines and thermodynamics, machine design etc etc.

During second year of engineering I had an illicit affair with finance and business. I started loving finance and kept tab on happenings in bombay stock exchange and dreamt of playing good shots on dalal street...whe I passed out from my engineering....I was very well versed in Finance and stock markets.....even though I was an engineer I went straight to the offices of big stock brokers and applied for job. fortunately I got job in Sharekhan.com in equity sales.I enjoyed working there....but whenever my friend or relative asked....why I am not doing something in my field ie engineering....I felt very irritated....every now and then I was made to feel that what I was doing is wrong and I should work as an engineer in some company as I have received a professional education for that....you know...when you tell a horse that he is donkey 1000 times....he starts to believe that he is....same thing here....eventhough i was paid very well compared to my engineering firends....some times I had a feeling that what I was doing is wrong and I should work as an engineer.....confused with all these things I joined Forbes Gokak Ltd as market research engineer....now this was a job which I loved(again) the job as market research engineer was pretty challenging and informative....I got this job due to my work profile in sharekhan.com....and my knowledge on Indian manufacturing industry...

Its during this time I had an affair with software.....even in my college days i wa attracted to software and tried to learn few basics of it....

Now ...in forbes gokak ltd.....after being pleased with my job....company kept me as sales and application enginerr for solid carbide tools in Delhi....again i learned too much in this job....but then I suddnly realsed that I am enjoying the work which I am doing....now I am a trained mechanical engineer, also received training in operation of CNC machinery which is very Hi Tech and state of art machines....but I had interest still in literature...and loved to work on computers and softwares....

fortunately i got a job in zero.com,
now this is a company which makes CRM software and is about to step in field of advaced business analytics....I may have to get a good shot of softwares (Java, .net) to work comfortably here...then suddenly I realised that I am enjoying the job....there is a bit of business skills involved with analysis tools of finance....software my recent love...everything...

I am in love with this job...till a person comes and tells me...hey why r u doing this job...? this not a job of mechanical engineer....and again i will get confused....

Death of General Ayub Khan

The mystery over death of Ayub Khan is still not solved.
Many experts claim that it was a hand work of Mossad which is expert in making assassination look like an accident.
But was RAW involved too?

Arijay Chaudhari: Billionaire in making

Arijay Chaudhari

Arijay has come for business visit in Delhi. He is right now staying with me in Gurgaon.Due to this I got opportunity to have company of a very learned and intelligent man.Arijay,at the age of 33, is CEO of company named SIS Infosystems which develops software for advanced analysis and business forecasting using very high complex tools like Neural Networks and Game Theory. He has more than 30 research papers to his credit and has written book on GATT and WTO.His books are in American Congress Library and are taught in Harvard,Princeton and many other Universities. He also works as a consultant for many Pharma and Market Research companies. In the beginning I thought that he must be a typical boring and workalcoholic person. But later I came to know that he is very jolly man with a good sense of humour.
These days whenever he is free,he teaches me the intricate details of his IDASM software which is highly complex and uses thousands of algorithms and statistical formulas to forecast.Though it is very tough I am able to understand most of the crucial parts of software. Arijay wants me to help him on developing more user friendly interface of this software and look after the support in coming months.
The idea of IDASM is wonderful. It is already appreciated by heads of many big companies. So watch out for this guy. He is future Narayan Murthy of India.

Today Arijay made Pasta which was very wondeful. I am learning to cook food from him.Soon I will be meeting his girl friend. He is also give me nice and useful tips to have a good girl friend(he has already helped me to have one).

My Childhood pic

I was searching for Pan Card in my pouch in which I keep my important things.
At that time I found a small plastic cover. In that were xerox of my Degree and marksheets. In that I found this old foto.I dont know from where it landed there.

I still remember....this pic was taken when I was in 5th grade. wanted to have a passport size foto to attach on an application for getting admission in IUCCG in Kendriya Vidyalay. I dont know what this abbreviation stands for. In our school, a person had come from this institute to recruit students for summer classes.Though I took the passport foto for it, I did not take admission in it.

Looking at this pic I was amazed, I looked very similar to my brother. Infact when viewed from distance it seems that it his pic.

Support Krishna Temple

I was just going through newspapers when I came across the news on incidence against Hindus in Russia.Later I came to know that KGB has started taking action again on the innocent Krishna Bhakts in Russia.
The KGB started massive persecution campaigns against the first followers of ISKCON. For their belief, around hundred of the first Russian devotees were thrown into prisons, labor camps and psychiatric hospitals. They underwent tremendous sufferings and tortures, but kept their strong, unflinching faith in Lord Krishna and His words in Bhagavad-Gita.
One of them, Sarkis Ohanjanyan was only 21 when he was put in prison. His only "guilt" was that he believed in God, chanted the Hare Krishna mahamantra and refused to eat meat. One and a half years later he died in the winter of 1986 in a labor camp out of malnutrition and tuberculosis. Before departure he was chanting on the beads made from the prison bread, and had applied tilaka on his body with the toothpaste.

Start of Movement

The beginning of the 90's was the start of the new Russia after the fall of autocratic Soviet Union. The Moscow government gave devotees a ruined building unsuitable for inhabitation and commercial usage on rent. In a short time devotees turned that building into the first Hindu temple in Russia. The Moscow Temple became the centre of the spiritual life for the Krishna community of Indian and Russian devotees. Festivals, services, and educational programs were held daily at that temple. Thus the seed of Krishna bhakti planted by Srila Prabhupada sprouted in Russian soil. For fourteen years this building served as a temple, the place where thousands of Russian people received and nurtured faith in God.
However, in 2004 the Moscow government took the building back and destroyed it according to the plan of reconstruction of the city district. Surrounded by growling bulldozers of the "Donstroi" construction giant, it may soon become the very first Hindu temple in the West ever destroyed by authorities. Now again the thousands of the followers of Hinduism in Russia were deprived of a place of worship. Hundreds of churches, cathedrals, mosques, synagogues are there, but not a single temple in the city of ten million people. Seeking the help and support devotees requested different prominent Indian politicians for help. Mr. Atal Bihar Vajpayee, former prime minister of India met with devotees on numerous occasions both in India and Moscow and assured devotees that he will try to convince his Russian colleagues to help ISKCON in Russia.

After many years of struggle, the Mayor of Moscow on 21st January 2004 finally signed the order to give the land for the construction of a new temple in a very prominent location in Moscow. The land is located on the boulevard which goes straight from Kremlin to the International Airport in about 10 minute drive from the heart of Moscow. Measuring 1,05 hectare, it would cost at least 10 to 15 million US dollars and the government gave this land free. The devotees moved into a temporary temple building on the land. As till date, they still have no water, no sewage etc.
Plans to construct a Hare Krishna temple here however, sparked off a controversy in Russia where the Orthodox Church dominates and many regard Krishna followers as dangerous sectarians.

Mayor Luzhkov and Orthodox Clerics

In January 2004, Orthodox, Muslim and Jewish religious authorities in Moscow spoke out against construction, saying it is against Russian tradition. The protestors had rallied in Pushkin Square in the centre of the capital, brandishing icons, flags and banners reading Friends, Defend Your Faith, We Oppose the Expansion of Sects and Beware! Krishna followers go in for brainwashing.
There are at least 100,000 followers of Lord Krishna spread across the country. Russia's Indian community led by Sanjit Kumar Jha, President of the Association of Indians in Russia supports the project since numerous Hindu believers were forced since so many years to pray in a little room with a 200-person capacity, housed in a building that was eventually demolished by the Russian government.

On 7 October 2005, the Mayor of Moscow Yuriy Luzhkov suddenly cancelled the order issued by the Moscow Government one and a half years ago according to which ISKCON Moscow was given a plot of land for construction of a new temple in replacement for the old temple building that was demolished. The office of the City Executive Attorney found some legal discrepancies in the wording of the original order by Moscow Government and suggested to revise it and issue a new, correct one. Instead, now on that basis the Mayor cancelled the order altogether. This was done without any explanation or consultation with ISKCON. His recent document has two parts in it. The first one cancelled the previous order. And according to the second one they have no right to stay on this territory any more. This means, that bhakts in ISKCON are now thrown out on the streets.
On Wednesday 19th October 2005, the Iskcon centre in Moscow was visited by the journalists from the main Russian TV-news program "Vremyachko". They took interviews from HH Bhaktivijnana Goswami Maharaja, President of ISKCON, Russia and some other Indians. They broadcasted it the same evening. The interviews were not distorted and left a good impression on people in general. On their own part the TV commented that from their sources of information the land is already sold to some big investor. There are also some rumors that the mayor's wife is involved or probably the Mayor is under pressure from the Russian Orthodox Church.

As a result ISKCON is now preparing to file a legal case. We are also preparing to launch an international campaign of protest. The VHP have agreed that they will become part of a "Defend Russian Hindus" campaign. In the UK, members of VHP will be on the committee of the campaign and in India, Ashok Singhal has agreed to lead a mass campaign. Yesteryear leading actress Hema Malini has also voiced her concern and willingness to approach the Indian Prime Minister for his help. The Hindujas have also come forward to voice their concern.

Below are the pics of planned Krishna Temple.

RAW in action?

According to Pakistan, Balochistan is new target of India.
This is excerpt from speech of a Paki official.''A lot of development work is taking place in Balochistan. The development will benefit the people of Balochistan. Only those elements are masterminding trouble who have been rejected by the people of
Balochistan. Foreign forces are behind the trouble. American and India are unhappy with the development in Gwador. This will bring China and Pakistan closer. Chinese products will reach Pakistani markets and Pakistan’s economy will become stronger. This is unacceptable to India and America. They are supporting some anti-Pakistan elements in Balochistan and given them the name of ‘nationalists’".

RAW Office in Delhi

There are allegations that Indian consulates in Afghanistan are sponsoring terrorism in Balochistan.Intelligence agencies of Pakistan have submitted a report that says that India’s RAW is behind the trouble in Balochistan. RAW has set up a “Special Operations Division” (SOD) in Balochistan that was assigned the task of creating troubles for the Chinese engineers.SOD is providing Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) weapons that are manufactured in Afghanistan.’

Balochistan at a Glance

Geography and Culture:

Balochistan is a land of contrast. It has places with lofty and rugged mountains under Chiltan, Takatu, Sulaiman, Sultan etc. and plains stretching to hundreds of miles. It has fertile land like that of Nasirabad, as well as, tracks' which are thirsty for centuries, and where even a bush could hardly be sighted like that of Pat section of Sibi District and Dasht-e-Makran in Makran Division.
Balochi is a generalized term, for the people include the Dravidian-speaking Brahui possibly the last descendants of the Indus Civilization, and the Jat or Zutt, an Indo Aryan speaking people of Indian origin. In the northwest of Balochistan, Pathans make up the majority of the population, and there is a sizeable minority of them elsewhere in the province. Most people speak Brabui, Baiochi and Pushto. Almost half the population of Balochistan lives within 80 Kms (50 miles) of the provincial capital, Quetta. The Balochistan coastline extends over 750 Km from near Karachi at Hub River to the Gwadar Bay on Pak-lran border. The whole area is rich in fish.

History:

Pakistan became one of the most strategically sensitive countries in the world during the cold war, most tragic part was Balochistan during the British and Russia great game in Afghanistan. In the 21st century Balochistan is in the eye of the storm, once more a greater game has begun, rules of the game are not clear yet, but the players are obvious, such as the Chinese and their growing need for energy.
Things used to be different in Balochistan, whose people had been among the most secular nation in the middle east that was before jihad in Afghanistan.
One of most remarkable memories Balochistan dated in 1993, when the entire staff of the ISI headquartered removed for trafficking in drugs and CIA arms, which were meant for Mujahiden.
Under the ISI instruction the mullahs and the religious parties of Balochistan flourished during the jihad years and more than seven thousand Madrasahs quickly sprang up.
Baloch are too few people in too vast a land, when Baloch protest and express them selves peacefully, they were not listened to. That is why when Baloch protest they pick up arms, go to the mountains, and fight. Balochistan has been fighting for centuries. When Baloch have not been fighting each other, they have fought the Arab, Turk, the Tatars the Persian the Hindus, and British.
they have never been fully conquered or subdued by the armies of Genghis khan, lord Curzon or Pakistani.
Four time since Pakistan’s creation, the Baloch who never wanted to be part of Pakistan, have rebelled demanding greater autonomy or even an independent state which reunite the 15 million Baloch in Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan under one flag.
Balochistan twice was a tribal confederation and then four princely states. For conquerors that passed through, it name left custom that has survived or land mark.
In ninetieth century, the British needed to control it if Afghanistan was to remain a buffer between British India and the armies of the Tzar, for one of the major route to Afghanistan lay through balochistan. The British spent more than forty years trying to subdue its people, in the end British declared a truce.
British left India 60 years ago, communist has been defeated, jihadi once darling of Pakistani establishment, now on the run and chased by ISI and Pakistani intelligence services.

Strategic Location:

Balochistan is gate of energy, from central Asia and there is huge natural resources sleeping underground waiting to be pumped out to the energy market at a relatively cheap price.
Chinese thirst for energy and it growing demand, Chinese are not good supporters of democracy and they themselves have a bad record on human right abuse; Pakistani sentiment of insecurity puts them with a good alliance with China.
One chief mother of causes in Pakistan is to free Kashmir from India, Musharraf is happy to announce that the line of control could become a permanent boundary between India and Pakistan. The two countries have started negotiation on line of control principle to become a permanent border. Pakistan willingness to give up Kashmir, that Pakistan fought three wars over it, to secure its hold on Balochistan.
Baloch are resisting the invader in Iran and Pakistan, the Baloch have too little to loose if subdued and too much to gain if there united against the intruder, who already controls their land and their movement and resources and slowly kill a nation and reduce their existence only for tourist attraction purposes. (Baloch resistance in Iran is separate from Pakistan and has no connection with each other).

Two Way Mirrors

Have you seen recent advertisement of M/S SAINT GOBAIN GLASSES shown in
TELEVISION'S?

How to determine if a mirror is 2 way or not (Not a Joke!)
Not to scare you, but to make sure that you aware.

Many of the hotels and textile showrooms cheat the customers this way &
watch privately. HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR When we visit
toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., how many of you know
for sure that the seemingly ordinary mi r ror hanging on the wall is a real
mirror, r actually a 2-way mirror i.e., they can see you, but you can't
see them). There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirro! rs
in female changing rooms or bathroom or bedrooms. It is very difficult to
positively identify the surface by just looking at it.

So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror
we are looking at?

CONDUCT THIS SIMPLE TEST:
Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if
there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it
is a GENUINE mirror. However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the
image of your nail, then BEWARE, IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR! (There is someone
seeing you from the other side). So remember, every time you see a mirror,
do the "fingernail test." It doesn't cost you anything.

& nbsp; It is simple to do. This is a really good thing to do. The reason there
is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the
mirror UNDER the glass. Whereas wit! h a two-way mirror, the silver is on the
Surface. Keep it in mind! Make sure and check every time you enter in hotel
rooms. May be someone is making a film on you.

St Judes Rocking

St Judes Yahoo group was made in 2003 by my classmate Ravi Bilgi. We had made this group so that Myself, Ravi,Jaydeep,Amol and few other friends of St Judes High School can come together. But only Ravi,Imran and I joined the group. After the group came to being there was no activity in it. Ravi was moderator and was busy with college. Even I was busy with my studies and no one gave second thought to the development of this Yahoo Group.Few weeks back Jaydeep and Dimple joined group.Jaydeep did a good job and roped in Divya,Sangeeta and Shubodini.
Jaydeep called me from Mumbai and we discussed in great detail on how to make his group a success. We started recalling all the people who were there in our batch of 1998 passout students. Slowly many names started to come out. I told Jay that I will make an excel sheet of all the students and upload on group website. After the call I started working on my laptop. And in 15 mins had list of about 55 students from our batch.I was amazed at my memory. I knew even surnames of most of my classmates with whom I had spent 12 yrs studying.I uploaded the list on group site. At that time I was happy to see names of Sangeeta and Shubodini.I had never expected them to be so fast in joining the group.
I took number of Shubodini from Jaydeep and called her. When I called on the number ; I came to know that it was cell number of Sangeeta, which jaydeep had given me by mistake. Now Sangeeta was my childhood crush and hated me like anything. We never spoke to each other in school days (an even after that).I expected that she will get angry and cut the phone with few good words. But instead she talked to me polietly.I dont remember when we had last conversation (or its possible that we never had one).
She asked me about my whereabouts (she didnt knew that I had shifted to Delhi) and had long chat. She had completed her education and was now working in South Indian Bank. We talked about our old friends and finished our first known (documented) conversation. At night I called Shubodini. I was talking to her after a gap of about 8 years. Last we had met was on our School send off party. After that she shifted to Link Road and then never heard of her.

Ravi is trying hard to make Sunita, Vinay,Kiran and others to join the group.
Hope they join soon.

Sumeera is back

It was night and after dinner I came to check my mails. As I logged in Yahoo messenger summeras PM window popped up.I was happy to see her online. She had come back to India from Singapore just a week back. It was after a very long time I saw her online. After few minutes of chat I called her.I was very happy to hear her voice after such a long time. Last time I talked her when she was in Singapore. It was around 5 to 6 months back.

Sumeera;was my crush(she is even today)from the days when I was in MVLU college. We were very good friends. After bunking the classes we used to hang around the college together. Those were really good days. Even though we were friends, I used to consider her as my competitor. She was a bit more intelligent than me.Sometimes we used to bunk classes and go to her home(which was near to college).I still remember the day when I had been to kalrashukla Classes in Vile Parle. We had given our class test in Sathe college. After the test I spotted Sumeera in the crowd of Students. We went togeher to Parle station walking. It was monsoon season and started raining. Both of us were not having umbrella.Instead of running around and standing in the shade of roofs, we went walking in Rain. She told that she will catch rickshaw somewhere between Parle and Andheri. We walked laughing,Chatting enjoying in the rain. She was a very good friend and a genuine person. One day I told her that I had crush on her and she started to laugh uncontrollably. I think she knew that right from the beginning. After Junior college I joined Mechanical Engineering and she joined Instrumentation Engineering in Parshvanath college. Thereafter we got busy with our studies and our meetings reduced. Slowly we stopped calling each other. Unlike me,she fully concentrated on her studies. In a month or two I used to call her. After studies I joined Sharekhan.com and I got too busy with work.Hopefully I got job even before getting my degree. After few months of completion of my Engineering studies our results were declared. In every semester Sumeera used to have good percentages(most of the time first class) then me and I had started becoming jealous of her. I thought that in final year I will score more percentage then her and settle all old records.I got first class in final year.Happily I called Sumeera thinking that I have left her back this time. When I called her; she informed that she got Distinction. And I lost even the final battle to this great lady.I was busy calling shots in Share market and Sumeera was planning to go to states for MS. When I was Chennai I got call from Sumeera that she is getting married and has dropped the idea of further studies in America. She invited me to her marriage.Even at this time she never left her usual humourous flirting."Abhishek, if the groom doesnt turn up on time, you have to take his place. So make it sure that you are present on my marriage."But due to time constraints I wasnt able to attend her marriage.

Coming back to the call. Her voice and ways hadnt changed. I talked to her for an hour. She was not feeling well since the time she had arrived from Singapore. Majority of the time while our conversation we were laughing and joking. i thought that after marriage Sumeera will change and must have become serious and lo....Sumeera had become more lively and showered teasing comments on me just like the days when we were in Junior College.I asked her whether her husband was around. She told that he was in Hyderabad and therefore was able to talk very freely. We talked about her stay in Singapore and my stay in Delhi. We went on and on. She told me to meet her in next week and I replied affirmatively. She warned me not to come without her pending Marriage gifts.

I really wished if those good days return back....when we used to rollick and frollick around college campus.

At Metro Mall

On Thursday I came to meet Pramod Sir, MD of Zero.com.
He was supposed to be leaving for australia after two days. I met him at his gurgaon home. Since it was our last meeting, we decided that we will have lunch outside.
Nikhil(son of Pramod) suggested that we go to Yo! China in Metro mall.

The Restaraunt was good. Pramod suggested me to have salted Vegetables which was speciality of the place. Subrata ordered fish. Since I am vegetarian I ordered Veg Manchurian for main course.

The above Pic was taken by Nishant.

Unemployment galore

In Bhagalpur Jail of Bihar there is a vacancy for Hangman. Previously members of a particular family did the job of executing prisoners with life sentence. This family has migrated from Bhagalpur. The last execution was carried out in 1995. As the position was vacant, applications for the job of Hangman started coming to Bhagalpur Jail.

Bhagalpur Jail Superintendent Viswanath Prasad has received a dozen of applications. Amazing thing is that most of them are having bachelor’s degree and few have even Master’s.
The high unemployment rate and very few Industries have made degree holders in Bihar helpless.

Lets hope new CM of Bihar Nitish Kumar does something for this.

NOTICE IN BIHAR

Crazy Crazy world:

Today while reading newspaper I came across many news which were quite..er..stupid.
Can you comment on these?

Nguyen,21, a Vietnamese youth who was drinking with friends in Hanoi, when he showed his pals an old detonator he had found. Nguyen announced it couldn’t possibly explode. His friends disagreed. To prove his point Nguyen stuck the detonator in his mouth and plugged its dangling wires into a 220 volt electrical socket. He died instantly.

Christian from Rushinga, Zimbabwe. Elephants have been trampling his maize field and so he decided to fight back by raiding an old minefield near the Zimbabwe-Mozambique border. By purloining a few land mines and planting them around his maize he would soon deter the elephants. He dug up five mines exposed by recent heavy rains and began carrying home. Unfortunately, he dropped one, again with fatal, instant results. He died.

This one is hilarious….

A woman in northwest England who rushed to hospital with tummy trouble, fearing she had eaten a dodgy kebab, was shocked to give birth instead. Helen Smitham =, 25, had no idea she was pregnant when she complained of feeling a bit rough – with an iffy kebab thought to blame. She gave birth so quickly that doctors did not even have time to tell her that she was expecting.
