Hot Hot Delhi

After a brief stay in Bangalore I came back to delhi. The power cuts in this place will drive me crazy. There is no light for most of the afternoon.
The stay in Bangalore was quite pleasant. I enjoyed hanging around Residency and MG road. Every evening Sudhir used to pick me from my Hotel and take me around the City. I always love being in Bangalore. Its such a beautiful place with beautiful people. Next Day Stevan also arrived in Bangalore. Most of the evenings and Nights we hanged around Pubs. Stevan was crazy after dance bars and wanted to visit one…well…. his wish was not fulfilled due to lack of time. Sudhir took us at his home where we met his small family. Rajni(wife of Sudhir) was very happy to meet us and so was little Anusha( Sudhir’s Daughter).

On the last day of my stay I met Raghu, brother of Sunita….who is a Policewalla(he is an ACP). He dropped me at Banglaore Station from where I caught my train to Delhi.
Now….Delhi is sooo hot these days.. I have shivers when I think what will be condition in month of April and May. If everything goes fine I will be spending my summers in Mumbai….lets hope so.

Things that went right….things that went wrong…

This had been a very topsy turvy week. There were things which went right and there were things that went wrong. So thought of jotting down what went right and what went wrong.
First the things that went wrong…
1) Selling furniture came out to be a big head ache. I had to follow the Vipin(who purchased most of the furniture) whole week to pick the furniture on time.
2) Data uploading utility was still not completed by our developers. We were already a week behind the schedule. I am still waiting for the mail from Sachin and Vasudha regarding this but they haven’t replied yet.
3) Our Client in Delhi is just not using our software and the relations between us have strained a lot. I had worked too hard to bring the things on track with this client but in the end it seems all the hard work will give no results. I had toiled so much for this client…but…
4) I have spoiled my relations with a dozen of my friends and clients. Sunil is not happy because I refused to help him. Divya gave me a Gaali Bhara mail for not attending her marriage …same goes with Roshni who got married yesterday (10th March).Ms Wadiyar is angry with me and warned me not to take her and Ms Perti’s name on this blog. So I am taking their surnames(see I kept my promise)…lolz…Perti got angry coz I had written great revelations bout her on blog which I deleted after numerous threats from Wadiyar. Perti was about to complain Police about me. WOW. Umesh is angry as usual for no reasons.
5) I have a Whooping 4895 Rs phone bill.
6) My Father is coming to Delhi on 23rd March.
7) My Microwave is not working.
8) I wont be having a broadband net connection in my new place.

Now the things that was good.
1) Diana returned my Tshirt.
2) Atlast after lots of negotiations and following Vipin Tripathi agreed to purchase half of furniture for 11000 Rs.
3) I finished reading “Day of Jackal” by Fredrick Forsyth.
4) Sunil Sharma, my colleague from Forbes Group, invited me to stay with his family as a paying guest.
5) Amardeep after a long stay went back to Mumbai.

So in all, there were more bad occurrences then good ones….as usual..

Fruitless Day

In afternoon I called Vipin Tripathi. He told that tomorrow night (ie on 11th March) he will be taking away all the purchased furniture. I was relieved by this. At that time Manik came. He told that he has resigned from his company and is planning to go to Mumbai to find to new job.I told him that it’s a good decision. He was there at my home till evening. At 8.00Pm Stevan and Diana came. Diana returned me my T Shirt which she had taken last day. It was raining yesterday. Stevan and Diana had come to meet me. Due to rain both were soaking with water. Diana told me to give her a T Shirt to change coz she was not feeling well and did not want to fell ill. I had given her my T shirt which she returned me today.
She asked me which perfume I used coz my T Shirt smelled so sweet. Later I realized that sweet smell which mentioned was nothing but the smell of Rin Supreme(washing powder). I never rinse clothes properly and due to this the Tshirt smells so hard of soap. These Spanish people are so dumb…We decided that we will have dinner at Sahara Mall. Stevan went to bathroom and asked me whether he can use the deodorant. I told him to use it. When he came out I realized from the smell that what he had sprayed was not deo but room freshner....hehehe...
Actually Stevan has problem in understanding English. Aneways..we went to Sahara Mall. We went to Nescafe outlet on first floor. I sat on my favourite seat which gives the view of entire mall. After chatting there for some time…we went to Haldirams to have our dinner. Diana insisted on going to Wok Express…but I was in no mood of eating Chinese.
After dinner I was there at their apartment till late night…where they taught me a bit of Spanish. At 11.30 I came back to my home…..another fruitless day.

Phew...

It was such a nice day….so cool. A real change after so many days of stress. From last four days I was in lot of stress. I had to shift from Gurgaon. After haphazardly selling furniture I was waiting for the people to come and take them. The person who purchased the furniture was out of city. After trying his cell for whole day I wasn’t able to contact him. If he doesn’t turn up by next day then I will be on road with all the wooden stuff since I have to vacate my flat by 12th March. Kya Jhanjat hai..
These days my work was also not going smoothly. My clients are already a big pain. I faced lot of problem .I am on the verge os losing our clients. What else I spoiled my relation with dozen of colleagues and friends. This week was horrible.

But today getting up in morning I saw that clouds have covered the sky. It had rained a bit in early morning. The atmosphere was really very nice and cool. It was a good change from the hot delhi atmosphere of previous day. When I got up from bed I was in semi depressed mood pondering about the events of previous days and thinking what will happen in coming days…nothing was going as planned. I was sure that worst was going to come. Seeing my work, my MD raised concern that; whether I will be able to hold my clients in Delhi.

I got up and came in balcony after brushing teeth. And lo..as I opened the balcony door I was greeted by cold sweet smelling wind. Everything around seemed green and vibrant. It took only moments for me to cheer up. I stood there in balcony and admired the beauty of nature around. Everything was so clean and green. After some time I came back to my room and switched on the PC. Suddenly I became very optimistic and mentally stable. I thought let the worst come….I am ready for it. Then I thought about my capabilities and was quite happy with myself. At the most what will happen…I will lose client…I will have to face trouble with the furniture on my head….I have to face trouble in shifting from gurgaon in coming days…That’s not a big deal. I have faced problems bigger than this and have come up with many good solutions in past. I don’t care…

Thanks for the nature….I this wouldn’t have been the atmosphere today….i would have drooled whole day cursing myself and my fate…and doing nothing.

Such is the power of Nature.

Good Day

Big Trouble

It was a very troublesome day. The data utility programme which was to be made by 3rd March was still not made. I had contacted to my friend Sachin in Nagpur who looks after this development. He hasn’t replied yet. I am also waiting for Praveena and Vasudha's reply about the recent development on IDASM.We are already 3 days late. The things are not fine in our other clients place as well. Our client just doesn’t use the software. If this goes on then we can be in big pickle.

Already my CEO Arijay has given me warning for not getting work done according to schedule. Our software development team in Nagpur is very hard working and are toiling to develop the utility. Therefore I cannot blame them. There was a major problem at our clients end while installing software last time. We came to know the culprit was Oracle. The version for which our software is built was different and the one installed at clients end was different. So again we are in a bit of problem. Hope it gets done soon
